Lower Level Remodel

This long-time client came and friend to us after a lower level flood inspired a remodel. After some consultation we came to the conclusion that the lower level should match the main level in maturity and elevated style, but with a less formal feel. This new space would be centered around a relaxed experience and focussed on entertainment and comfort.

A client for the past ten years, this couple is yet another great example of our preferred process - a long term relationship where our design services meet lifestyle needs as they arise. We did work in the main level of this beautiful home years ago with floor to ceiling considerations - a more formal feel. Years later it still looks like it belongs, as any correctly designed space should.

Our inspiration for the lower level began with a lighting piece which now hangs over the pool table. Layering elements of iron, stone and barn wood to create a stage, we took into consideration harmonizing the lower and upper level while also distinguishing the spaces. It is important not to discriminate the formality of the main level to the lower while still creating a sense of ease in the lower.

We attained our goal of creating a place for our client to remove themselves from their hectic and stressful world and create good moments.
